| You can use the program below or one you have, or the color.org in my links or just do a search for html color charts and you won't have to download a program. I use my psp and the one below. I think mos sent this to me. Thanks mos. First go and get this color dropper from this site. It's free and it isn't a big program. When you click it it will be available in your toolbar. Right click on it and check html then left click on the wheel and drag it up to your desktop. It will show you the color number for a color you can choose for your background. If you don't want to do this and can live with black or white for your background color in the center of your table. White is #ffffff and black is #000000. Open your blog compose and check view HTML Source.
Then copy and paste in this code: <left></left> <div></div><left> <table style="BACKGROUND-ATTACHMENT: fixed" cellSpacing=40 cellPadding=4 background=http://farm1.static.flickr.com/224/505797924_86ad5a7b84_m.jpg border=3> <tbody> <tr bgColor=#ffffff> <td> <div style="TEXT-ALIGN: left"><font face=bard color=#dbb99e size=5><br /> </font></div> <p style="TEXT-ALIGN: left"><font color=#000000 size=3> content goes here</font></p> <br /> <div style="TEXT-ALIGN: left"><br /> <br /> <br /> </div></td></tr></tbody></table></left> You can use something from mine if you like. I got this from my stationary folder so you can use the code as is if you like. Or go to Easy Themes which is in my groups for a seamless tile. This is for the bordered area. If you choose a tile from a site you will have to upload it to flickr or where ever you keep your photos as long as it has a url for you to paste into the above blue highlighted area. When you choose your tile from flickr click on all sizes and choose the size you want. I chose small. Click on the one line of code and copy. Take it back to your blog compose and copy in the first highlighted area. Go to the second highlighted area and type in your color. If you make it light you can use any color text but if you make it dark you need to remember to highlight and make your text a light color. Uncheck your view html. Delete the content goes here and start writing your blog.
Now if you want to add pictures you have to remember to recheck view html and enter your several lines of code for your pictures in between your text. Every time you uncheck your view html you should be able to see your background with your picture in it. If your picture is above or below your table you need to go back and put it inside the code itself.
If you upload a picture from your computer you should be able to just drag it onto the table.
I know this sounds confusing but if you do it as you go you should be ok. This is what your table should look like when you uncheck the View html source and before you start writing. You can highlight your text when you are done and make it look like you want in blog compose. Also remember if you move things around in flickr or delete your background it will not show up in your blog any more. |
